Shoreditch Chronicles

During the past four years I have been building what I hope is a thorough ( if eclectic ) portfolio based on the streets in and around Shoreditch.
What a place...named, some say, from 'Sewer Ditch' , possibly a reference to the River Walbrook and the role of such waterways in times gone by, Shoreditch is on the edge of the City of London. It has seen a nunnery, Britain's first theatre, Hugueonot weavers, a thriving furniture trade - and heavy bombardment during WW11.
Now the factories and warehouses are trendy studios and apartments, the walls an ever changing open art exhibition. In the next couple of years a new railway will cut through it's heart. I hope the street artists stay awhile.
